LORE MONNIG began her career in 1973 at SUN VENTURES, the venture capital arm of Sun Oil Company. In 1975 she joined SALOMON BROTHERS in the Corporate Finance Department as a generalist initially, but later working in the Financial Services Group and in the Private Placement Group. Joining PRUDENTIAL SECURITIES in 1984, Ms. Monnig started and headed the Insurance Group in the Investment Banking Department for four years. In 1989 Ms. Monnig joined JAMES D. WOLFENSOHN INC. where she started and headed that firm’s insurance practice as well as oversaw private placements. In 1997 she formed her own boutique firm, DOWNING STREET ASSOCIATES, with a focus on the insurance industry. During that period, Ms. Monnig helped raise capital for and served on the Advisory Board of ARIES CAPITAL PARTNERS, a $100 million private equity fund focused on growth insurance situations. She joined Bentley in 2001 and is a Managing Director. Ms. Monnig also served twice as Chairman of the International Committee for the Financial Women’s Association. Ms. Monnig received her A.B. from HOLLINS COLLEGE, two M.A.’s from UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA, and an M.B.A. from THE WHARTON SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA.
