JARLATH A. JOHNSTON has worked with a wide variety of telecommunications, media, and information technology companies, both public and private. He has worked extensively with companies in cable television, broadcasting, newspaper/magazine publishing, and wireless communications, as well as with specialty niche segments of the converged industries. Mr. Johnston began his career at CITIBANK in 1978 and joined its Media Department after two years. In 1984 he moved to BANKERS TRUST where he was a Vice President and Team Leader/Media Division for two years. Joining SALOMON BROTHERS in 1986 he worked in the Media Investment Banking Group for eight years on public and private financings, as well as merger/acquisition and restructuring assignments. From 1994 until he joined Bentley in 1998 as a Managing Director, Mr. Johnston worked independently on media and telecommunications financings and restructurings. From 1996 to 2000 Mr. Johnston was a bondholder-elected director of Scott Cable Communications, Inc. He earned his B.A. from YALE UNIVERSITY and an M.B.A. from THE WHARTON SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA.
