Samuel L. Gordon, Jr.
Managing Director
SAMUEL L. GORDON, JR. began his career at PAINEWEBBER
in 1972. During his 13 years in the Investment Banking Department at the firm,
he became Deputy Representative and assisted in opening its Far East office
in Tokyo in 1975-1976, then served successively as Vice President in New York
in its Private Placement Group, Head of Canadian Investment Banking,
and Head of the Retailing and Consumer Products Group. Joining GE
CAPITAL in 1985 as a Senior Vice President, he initially sourced and executed
a range of leveraged buy-out transactions in the Capital Markets Group, then
participated in establishing the function, and subsequently became Co-Head
of Syndications and Placements in 1989. In 1996 he became Managing Director
and Head of Investment Banking at JESUP & LAMONT CAPITAL MARKETS,
INC. in New York, where he originated and executed a variety of capital
raising, merger & acquisition and financial advisory assignments for middle
market companies. He joined Bentley in 2000 and is a Managing Director. During
his career, Mr. Gordon has acted for more than 100 different clients in diverse
industries, encompassing more than 120 transactions aggregating in excess of
$5 billion in value. Mr. Gordon earned an A.B. from MIDDLEBURY COLLEGE
and an M.B.A. from THE WHARTON SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA.
